This is the MOST sought after Dr. Oetker recipe book in the collection!

Arrived in even better condition (almost looks new) than described! Price was awesome! I've looked for this book for a long time and it's not only hard to find a hard copy but it's even harder to find on in great condition. The English version still has measurements in European liters and such and I've seen so many asking for help in converting to US measurements......but it's ok because most of your measuring cups & spoons have both written on them. When you look at your measuring cups/spoons you will notice 1 side is US measurements (cups/teaspoons/tablespoons) and other side has European measurements (liters etc) If yours does not....just go to any store (Walmart to even Dollar Stores) and buy measuring cups/spoons that do. Anyways....this book has great recipes, beautiful pictures & so easy to follow! If you LOVE German food then this book is a "MUST HAVE" that will also impress any of your german friends!

Good book.

I'm surprised this book is called 'The Original' because I have a German copy of Dr. Oetker's original book and this one is missing quite a few of the recipes. However, it still has a lot of great recipes in it and is written in English and using cups instead of liters so its got that going for it and the illustrations are good.

I enjoy the variety

I enjoy the variety. I enjoy the pictures. Some of the directions are difficult to follow and more than a few of the ingredients are hard to get. Note that I live in Northern California, a place known for having a pretty good supply of most things, and I can't find the ingredients.
